The page numbers are provided for your convenience, however they can be subject to change.

Shipping and Handling:

  • The cost of shipping for the United Kingdom will be added at the website's checkout. The cost of shipment is calculated from three variables; basket total weight, consignee's location and post/courier service level.
  • We aim to despatch by post/courier within three working days. Orders made over the weekend and/or over bank holidays may have a slight delay. Delivery time will be dependent on the consignee's location and post/courier service level.
  • All goods sent by courier will need to be signed for upon delivery. If there is a problem with delivery, the address maybe carded. Please read this card and follow the instructions given.
  • THE CONSIGNEE MUST CHECK GOODS FOR DAMAGE PRIOR TO ACCEPTANCE. SIGN FOR AS “GOOD CONDITION” ONLY IF GOODS HAVE BEEN UNWRAPPED AND FULLY INSPECTED. IN THE EVENT THAT GOODS CANNOT BE INSPECTED UPON DELIEVRY, WRITE “UNCHECKED” OR “DAMAGED”. SIGNING FOR GOODS WILL DEEM THEY ARE RECEIVED IN GOOD CONDITION AND ANY CLAIM FOR DAMAGE LATER MAY BE AUTOMATICALLY REJECTED BY THE COURIER.
  • Most products are tracked whilst in transit.
  • Items may be sent separately.
  • When receiving your item/s please open packaging carefully.
  • Additional charges may be applicable if delivery fails due to an incorrectly supplied address or if no-one is available to receive the delivery. The cost incurred may be charged to the consignee.

Report Damages:

  • Please report damages immediately and within 24 hours to us either by telephone 01629 821645 or email: parts@hgigenerators.com. We will give you instructions on how to proceed. Upon inspection (by either HGI Parts or the courier), refunds will be made on our agreement to do so. You will usually receive the refund amount within 5 working days, however, you should note that a refund may take as much as 3-6 weeks to be processed depending on the acquirer.

Report Errors within Orders:

  • Report incomplete/incorrect deliveries in writing within 4 days of receiving the goods. In the unlikely event of an error within your order, contact HGI Parts on 01629 821645 for a returns number, and then return the goods to HGI Parts. Upon inspection by HGI Parts, refunds (including postage) will be made on our agreement to do so. You will usually receive the refund amount within 5 working days, however, you should note that a refund may take as much as 3-6 weeks to be processed depending on the acquirer.
  • When returning goods to HGI Parts we recommend that you use recorded type delivery service to prevent being liable for any unwanted occurrences such as loss of the item/s, damage in transit etc.

Please ensure that when returning the item/s they are:

    1. Fit for resale
    2. Placed in original and undamaged packaging
    3. Are fit for transportation to avoid delays in returns

Returns/Refund Policy:

  • The HGI Parts website operates in accordance with Distance Selling Regulations 2000 which state that you have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase of your items within 7 working days of delivery, starting from the day they are received. If you wish to cancel your order within the 7 day limit, you will need to notify us in writing via email with your reason for cancellation. If your items have already been dispatched before cancellation, you will need to return the item/s to HGI Parts at your responsibility and cost. Therefore we recommend that you exercise the right to withdraw as soon as possible by either phone and then email, or email alone.

When returning goods to HGI Parts we recommend that you use recorded type delivery service to prevent being liable for any unwanted occurrences such as loss of the item/s, damage in transit etc.

    3. Are fit for transportation to avoid delays in returns

As soon as we receive written notice of your contract cancellation and have inspected the returned item/s, we will reimburse the total value of your order, less the initial shipping costs. You will usually receive the refund amount within 5 working days, however, you should note that a refund may take as much as 3-6 weeks to be processed depending on the acquirer. However, goods returned damaged, incomplete or otherwise unfit for re-sale, will be re-valued and the true cost of the defect will be deducted from the amount we refund.

Disputes:

Any resulting dispute will be submitted to WorldPay and/or your local Trading Standards Office for determination.
